Defender looking forward to a return to Molineux
As a former youth team player with the Molineux club, Daniel Jones is looking forward to his return to Wolves on Saturday, should he be selected.
He has fond memories of his time there and although Wolves have won six games on the bounce, he sees no reason why Val can’t go there and cause an upset.
He said: “They are in very good form and they are a very solid team throughout, they have got a good spine to the team and it is up to us to raise our game and if we get about them anything can happen on the day.
“You are brought up to play football there, you do things right and they are a very professional club and they try to do things the right way.
“I really enjoyed my time there, I started out as a winger when Mick McCarthy brought me into the team and I really enjoyed it, but then I went out n loan and got the taste for first team football week in, week out.
“Because Wolves were pushing for the Premiership I found my chances limited, so I wanted to go out and play regular football, but I really enjoyed my time there.
“I have still got friends there, which is good, and I supported them as a boy so I have got no ill feelings for them whatsoever.
“When we got promoted last year I was so pleased we would be playing them this season. It is weird they are in this league, but look at Leeds and Southampton, they had to come down to go back up.
“They are going well at the minute, but we could prove to be a stumbling block for them on Saturday.”
