IP Protection

Brand protection

Port Vale Football Club has been a proud institution since 1876, with our badge and name holding significant meaning to our supporters and the local community. However, the club is acutely aware of the challenges associated with counterfeit products, which dilute our growing brand.
Counterfeit Port Vale products have included fake replica merchandise, produced both locally and overseas and often sold online through marketplaces, independent websites and social media pages.
Purchasing counterfeit items might seem harmless, but carries risks, including poor quality, risks to buyers (such as stolen details or identity fraud), and unethical practices.

Our commitment

To protect the integrity of the club and safeguard our supporters, we have invested in registering and protecting trademarks, including our crest and name. We are also working to identify and contact those suspected of using the club's IP for commercial gain.
If you suspect someone is selling fake or unofficial Port Vale merchandise, we encourage you to report it by emailing legal@port-vale.co.uk. By doing so, you’ll help us protect the club’s legacy and keep our supporters safe. All reports will be treated in the strictest confidence and managed by a dedicated team.
