A look at two sides taking part in the Fantasy Football Challenge

PORT VALE FANTASY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE

A lot of points hinged on Monday night’s top of the table clash between Manchester City and Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, with the bulk of the leading teams in the Vale Fantasy League having at least one player from the game in their side.

The key player in that game from a fantasy football point of view was the man who scored the only goal of the game, Branislav Ivanovic – that, along with a clean sheet earned him 14 fantasy points, though none of the two sides we have selected this week have him in their team.

First up this week is Alfalfa Sprouts who currently sit in tenth place with 65 points scored last weekend. Joe Hickton-Jones is the man in charge and his side is as follow:

In goal, Artur Boruc (7 points), at the back, Luke Shaw (6), Per Mertesacker (5) and Martin Olsson (5). In the middle of the park Joe has selected Christian Eriksen (2), Adam Lallana (10), Juan Mata (7) and Eden Hazard (3) and to cap it off, up front he has Luis Suárez (4), Robin van Persie (captain, 14) and finally Emmanuel Adebayor (2).

In goal Dave has Wojciech Szczesny (6 points) and in front of the Arsenal stopper Dave has gone for a back three of John Terry (7), Joel Ward (1) and Cesar Azpilicueta (7). In midfield he has plumped for Raheem Sterling (2), Scott Parker (2), Adam Lallana (10) and Juan Mata (7). Joining them Dave has a strike force of three, who are Daniel Sturridge (9), Captain Luis Suárez (8) and Emmanuel Adebayor (2).
