The loan deal will see the England U20 International remain at Vale Park until the end of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League Two season.

Baker-Boaitey joined FC Porto’s Academy from West Ham United in 2020 and continued his development there before making a significant deadline-day move to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022. His time at Porto honed his skills and prepared him for the competitive environment of English football.

Since joining Brighton, Baker-Boaitey has made impressive strides, showcasing his talent and versatility across various youth and reserve team competitions. The dynamic forward made his senior debut for Brighton in a Premier League match against Chelsea, where he impressed with his pace, creativity, and ability to take on defenders, quickly establishing himself as a promising talent for the Seagulls.

Speaking of the loan signing of Benicio Baker-Boaitey, Port Vale FC Manager, Darren Moore, said:

“I’m really happy to welcome Benicio to Vale Park. He has great skills and a competitive spirit that will immediately boost our attacking options.

“Besides his talent on the field, Benicio has the right attitude and work ethic we look for at Port Vale. He’s eager to learn and push himself to be the best he can be.

“I want to thank Brighton & Hove Albion for trusting us with one of their top young players.

“We’re all looking forward to working with Benicio this coming season!”
