Port Vale FC are delighted to announce that Ben Garrity has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

Garrity, 27, puts pen to paper on an extension that will see him remain at Vale Park until at least the summer of 2026.

Affectionately known by supporters as “the best on earth”, Garrity joined Vale in the summer of 2021 and went on to play a large part in the club’s promotion from League Two in his first season at Vale Park.

The attacking midfielder was also recently named as Club Captain by Manager, Darren Moore, in what is his fourth season with the Valiants, boasting 28 goals across 144 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking of Garrity’s contract extension, Port Vale Manager, Darren Moore, said:

"I’m delighted Ben has signed this extension at the club. He’s pivotal for us on and off the pitch, we made it clear to him over the summer that we wanted him to stay on board and that he would remain an important part of the club moving forward.

"He’s a player who drives himself and his teammates and is always on the front foot, there’s no hurdle too big for him in wanting to do well and achieve. He is driven and wants to improve every day he walks through the door and exemplifies what a club captain should be.

"I know he’s a well-liked man and player across the club especially with our supporters and it’s a testament to everybody that Ben feels committed to Port Vale and has chosen to continue to make it his home for an additional year."
