From those cold Sunday mornings scoring goals for fun for his local side Sneyd FC to becoming part of the exclusive "100 Club" for the team he grew up supporting, Tom Pope is a man that will go down in the history books for Port Vale. Our captain scored his 100th goal for the club from the penalty spot away to Northampton Town on the 30th March to join the history books. He's since gone on to add to his tally with another goal against Crewe at the weekend to make it 101 goals in total for the Vale. We sat down with Popey after that Northampton game and took a trip down memory lane, looking back on a career of a Vale legend and what it took to get to this moment.
