Jim White, Natalie Sawyer & Sky Bet Call On Fans To Make Transfer Deadline Day A Bank Holiday

Fancy An Extra Day Of Holiday?

Sky Bet Transfer Fund ambassadors, Jim White and Natalie Sawyer, are calling on football fans around the country to sign a petition to make the January Transfer Deadline Day an official UK Bank Holiday.

As 'Sky Bet Transfer Fund' ambassadors, Jim and Natalie are already helping Football League fans win £250,000 for their favourite club to spend on players in the summer.

And now they have also teamed up with Sky Bet to help try to give fans the gift of time by fighting to make Transfer Deadline Day a public holiday.

That’s an extra day for football fans to enjoy a lie in, an extra day of cups of tea on the couch in their pyjamas and an extra day watching the news unfold on Sky Sports News HQ as players put pen to paper.

Sky Bet Transfer Fund ambassador Jim White commented: “The UK currently receives the second lowest number of public holidays in the world!

"We only get 8 days a year, in India they get 18! Help us to rectify this injustice, help us and Sky Bet to make Transfer Deadline Day a UK Bank Holiday – are you in?”

The Transfer Deadline Day petition marks the opening of the second Sky Bet Transfer Fund, which gives Sky Bet Football League fans the chance to win £5,000 for themselves and £250,000 for their club to spend in the summer transfer window.
