The club would like to make the following comment on our loyalty points scheme and the ticketing system errors faced during the last two ticket launches:
Over the summer and during the break from fixtures we have looked at different options regarding our loyalty scheme and how supporters could keep points that they have accumulated during the 2022/23 season.
An issue where supporters who elected not to continue with season tickets would’ve retained their points on their account, which defeats the object of the scheme.
In this case, we felt that resetting fans' accounts for the 23-24 season to zero, was the fairest solution.
The fixture list helped us to make an educated decision that involved resetting all points, this was based on the size of away ends in the first few fixtures where loyalty points would be equal across the fan base but we believe enough capacity for the demand of tickets.
We are working continuously to improve the loyalty scheme which is still in its infancy, and we will review this throughout the season, based on supporter feedback.
Yesterday (1st August 2023) we also experienced a number of issues with our systems which led to supporters being unable to purchase tickets for Blackpool Away.
Understandably this caused confusion amongst the fan base and is once again not an indication of how the club wish to treat our supporters.
The problems should now be rectified and please be assured we are doing everything we can to avoid any unnecessary problems in the future.
Should you continue to have problems with your ticketing account please email ticketoffice@port-vale.co.uk with as much detail as possible and the team will assist at the earliest possible moment.
Thank you once again for your incredible support and understanding.
