After the 11th round of games in this seasons League One campaign, Scunthorpe United sit three points clear of second placed Bradford City, who in turn are a ahead of the play-off places by one point.
Scunthorpe opened up ground on Bury over the weekend thanks to Josh Morris’ stunning 11th goal of the season, as he curled in a free kick from 25-yards to regain the Iron’s lead, which they held on to until the final whistle.
Bradford capitalised on Bury’s loss as Billy Clarke’s fourth of the season was enough to claim the points on the road against Chesterfield.
Sheffield United extended their unbeaten run to seven as Ethan Ebanks-Landell rescued a point for the Blades with virtually the last kick of the game, after September’s Sky Bet League One Player of the Month nominee David Ball gave Fleetwood the lead.
