Bruno Ribeiro Talks Bradford City

See what the manager had to say following the first game of the season.

After a summer of transition at Vale Park, everything finally came together this weekend in the opening day of the season.

Thirteen new players, new backroom staff and a new manager, it was certainly all change at Vale.

The Valiants didn’t disappoint this weekend and although they were unable to come away with all three points, they certainly showed what they could be capable of this season.

Manager, Bruno Ribeiro was ‘very happy’ with his sides performance and believes his side showed great attitude as they came away with an important point.

He said: “It’s a good start, it’s one point at Bradford a team who want to go up over the past four years, they’ve been in play-offs, so I’m very happy with the players it was fantastic work today, they had a great attitude.

“First half we didn’t start to well, the first fifteen minutes we have some problems at the back, but after that we play ok and at half time we spoke and second half we controlled the game.

“We could have scored two goals, but this is football and it’s one point away from home so it’s very important.

“We tried to play good football and in the second half we try to play forward and I’m very happy, I’m still very happy here and I see every day that we improve and now we keep going and keep working and it’s a good result but we want more.”
