The manager had a message for the fans following the game with Bradford City.
This past Saturday, Bruno Ribeiro made his competitive debut in the dugout as the manager of Port Vale.
After a long summer of work at Vale Park, which has seen several new faces come into the side, Bruno got to see it all come together.
Despite, what he calls a difficult first fifteen minutes, Vale grew into the game and were unlucky not to come away with three points.
The Valiants got the season underway in front of 1,073 travelling supporters, something Bruno was delighted with.
During his interview with Valiant PlayerHD, he took time to send a message to the supporters at Port Vale.
He said: “I have a message for our supporters.
“Against Bradford, they were fantastic for us, they helped us every second and we need this every game because we play good football and we need them.
“They need to come more to away games and home games we need a good crowd and maybe next Saturday they come to watch our football and we play good football for them.”
