Port Vale boss Rob Page felt three points were there for the taking against Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening.
Michael Higdon did give the Latics a first half lead at Vale Park but substitute Uche Ikpeazu equalised for the Valiants on 70 minutes.
Page’s side had numerous chances to take control as the game drew to a close but were forced to settle for just a draw.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the manager expressed his disappointment at not having won but admitted he was pleased with the return from his side’s last two fixtures.
“It’s a point,” he began. “I’m disappointed because I thought it was there for the three points tonight but four points out of the last two games, we’ll take it.
“It’s a point and we move forward and look forward to a great game on Saturday.”
