Uche Glad To Make Impact From Bench

Port Vale striker Uche Ikpeazu was delighted to make an impact from the bench on Tuesday night against Oldham Athletic.

The 20-year-old was left out of the starting line-up by manager Rob Page in favour of Colin Daniel.

But the forward came on as a second half substitute and earned the Valiants a point with a 70th minute equaliser.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, Ikpeazu admitted he was disappointed not to start the match but said he was glad to have got on the score sheet.

“In my whole senior football career I’ve never scored off the bench so to come off the bench and score was great,” he commented.

“I’m just working hard and I’m ready if called upon. I want to be starting games but the gaffer makes the decisions and I’ve just got to accept it and try and work on my game even more.”
