and getting him second placed in the overall leader board for the event,JustGiving pageMicky Adams sets off on his Football League organised bike ride for Prostate Cancer UK tomorrow and would like to thank everyone that has already donated to his
“This is a great cause and a physical challenge which I’ve always enjoyed and taken in my stride so it was a great opportunity for my to help Prostate Cancer UK in anyway I can. When I was a player I used to pride my self in being as fit as I could, you might not see that now but my game was built on being physically fit, so I decided if I could do something at 52 to get the juices flowing again and to get me out of bed that’s great.
“I think it’s great that the Football League and Prostate Cancer UK have joined together as football is a male dominated sport so what better way to get there message out there.
“I’d like to be wearing the orange jersey but it doesn’t matter as long as the profile of this terrible disease is raised and besides orange doesn’t suit my eyes. I will be over-taking Perry Groves who is first in the leader board who I know from my time at Southampton, on the bike though.”
Micky sets off at 7.15am tomorrow morning from Leyton Orient and will arrive at Amsterdam Arena home of AFC Ajax on Saturday. We will be keeping you updated on his journey throughout this period, so keep tuned into all of our official social media platforms to find out how he is getting on.
