Winger looking forward to getting back to league action
Jennison Myrie-Williams netted the decisive third goal in Vale’s FA Cup victory at Home Park in midweek but says the lads are looking forward to getting back to action in the league.
Vale face Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon (kick off 3.00pm) and the winger isn’t extecting The Latics to be a pushover.
He said: “We go back to the league now and that is the most important thing I think and Oldham on Saturday should be a good game for us and I am looking forward to it.
“We are in a nice position in the table but we would like to be right up there. We have been a bit up and down lately with our results, but everybody is together and we are really looking forward to the next round of games.
“I don’t think any game in this league is going to be easy and the Oldham game will be a tough one, but if we go out there and apply ourselves in the right way I am sure we can get the points.
“We have got a very committed group of players and we are all together. It is probably one of the best team spirits I have been involved with.
“Everybody wants to be going in the right direction and I think we are doing that at the moment and we will keep going until the end.
“Before we came into this league everybody was asking the question, ‘are the players good enough?’ but I think a lot of players have given people good answers. I think everyone has adapted and is doing well.
“I think the better the quality you play against the more it brings it out in yourself and I think a lot of players have stepped up to this league well.”
