It's great to be a Vale fan

It may do so because our next two home games are against teams in the bottom four so who knows where we may be when the New Year makes its bow! It’s great to be a Vale fan at the moment, 7 wins out 9 and an FA cup tie at home to a lowly League Two side in the third round. Can it get any better?

  Should we beat Stevenage tomorrow, hopefully in front of a decent crowd, it would make it 8 wins out of 10. Whisper it gently, but the last time we did that we got promoted to the Championship! I’m not saying we are that good yet, but a good bit of tweaking (not twerking) in January to the playing staff and we might be able to at least challenge for it.

That in itself is a huge bonus, I still think a mid-table finish would be a job well done. The Cup game is also tantalising. It won’t be easy, but we must be favourites to hoover up the £67,500 prize money and then there is even more chance of pulling out a plum in the last 32. It would be a good time for fans who haven’t got a season ticket to buy one of the half season tickets now, as it may come in handy if there are any big Cup ties to come. You know it makes sense!
