Jemiah Umolu is a Valiant

We are delighted to confirm that Jemiah Umolu – top scorer in this season’s Premier League 2 – has joined the club on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 19-year-old striker, who started his footballing journey at West Ham United, has registered nine goals in 10 appearances already this term for Palace’s Under-21 side, and will now link up with Darren Moore’s Valiants for the remainder of the season.

After impressing during an initial trial in south London in 2023/24, Umolu notched an assist on his first appearance against Stoke City and followed up with a further two assists and a goal in the Premier League International Cup semi-final win over Everton at Selhurst Park.

The youngster was given a permanent deal in July 2024, and featured against Dulwich Hamlet in the first pre-season game of 24/25, scoring a brace.

Following a hat-trick against reigning Premier League 2 champions Tottenham Hotspur, Umolu was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for November 2024.
