We are delighted to confirm that Rhys Walters has rejoined the Valiants on an initial three-and-a-half-year deal.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who came through the Port Vale Academy system, left the club at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.
He has 22 professional appearances in a Vale shirt, half of those coming in Sky Bet League One.
Talking about Rhys returning to Vale Park, manager Darren Moore said:
“We are all delighted to be welcoming Rhys back to the club, he knows how well thought of he is here by staff and we now want him to see out the potential we all know he has.
“He will provide another option in the centre of the park for us and will be surrounded by professionals with hundreds of appearances that will help him with his further development.
