Port Vale FC are delighted to announce that Academy graduate, Andrew Buah, has signed his first professional contract with The Valiants.
The youngster puts pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain with Darren Moore’s side until at least the summer of 2025.
Buah, 18, made his First Team debut in October 2023, replacing Ethan Chislett as a second half substitute in our 1-1 draw with Newcastle United’s U21s in the EFL Trophy.
The forward would make his first senior start for The Vale’s final EFL Trophy Group Stage game against Wrexham where a young Vale side narrowly lost 2-1in a battling performance.
Speaking of Andrew Buah’s first professional deal, Port Vale Manager, Darren Moore, said:
“Andrew is a really exciting prospect for the club who possesses all of the raw attributes to kick on and become a real asset to our squad.
“He has trained in and around the first team for a good while now and his attitude and application, both on and off the pitch, have been first-class.
“We are all looking forward to working closely with Andrew to continue his already impressive development even further.”
Port Vale’s Academy Director, Will Ryder, added:
“I am really pleased for Andrew to have signed his first professional contract, an opportunity that he has worked incredibly hard for and deserves.
“The growth that we have seen in Andrew has been brilliant and speaks volumes of him, his work ethic and his support system.
“He is a player that has taken each opportunity with both hands whenever it has come, whether that be on the pitch making professional appearances or any time that he has been called upon to train with the first team.
“I am excited to see how Andrew develops over this next season with Darren Moore and the coaching staff now that he is with the First Team on a full time basis.”
