Defender the only out on loan player to feature this weekend as his Stafford Town side failed to halt winless run with defeat at Cheadle Heath Nomads.
- Loan Round Up | Festus Chale’s Stafford Town face crunch clash with Alsager Town on Saturday
- Following defeat to Cheadle Heath Nomads, Chale’s side face relegation six-pointer at Alsager next weekend
- James Plant (suspended), Tommy McDermott and Durrell Manhertz (injuries) and Rhys Walters (match postponed) all miss out on action this weekend
In the absence of Vale duo James Plant (suspended) and Tommy McDermott (injured), Salisbury FC drew 0-0 to Gosport Borough at the weekend. The point leaves Salisbury 14th in the Southern League Premier Division South, ahead of the visit of North Leigh on Saturday, with Plant eligible to return to action for the clash at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium.
Elsewhere, Festus Chale featured for Stafford Town but unfortunately couldn’t help his team to a change in results as they lost 5-1 to Cheadle Heath Nomads. Town were 4-0 down before getting a goal back on 83 minutes, however a late strike made it a four-goal defeat ahead of a huge match at the bottom of the North West Counties First Division South against Alsager Town on Saturday.
Chale’s side head to the Woodpark Stadium, knowing victory would take them above their hosts and out of the relegation zone with just four matches remaining.
Durrell Manhertz missed out due to injury as Abbey Hulton United were held to a 3-3 draw against Stockport Georgians, which leaves them 11th in the North West Counties First Division South. Next up for the Abbey is the visit of Eccleshall, who sit two places above them, on Saturday.
Rhys Walters didn’t feature for Leek Town at the weekend as the Blues’ game against Mossley FC was postponed due to adverse weather conditions in the Staffordshire Moorlands. However, Leek – who are currently 2nd in the Northern Premier League Division One West - are back in action on Tuesday night with a trip to Widnes, looking to close the gap on leaders Macclesfield FC at the top.
Lucas Covolan wasn’t involved as Chesterfield were held to a 1-1 draw against Yeovil Town in the National League. Chesterfield remain in 4th place with a trip to Wealdstone ahead of the Spireites on Tuesday evening.
