Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of versatile winger Liam McCarron, who moves to Vale Park on loan from Stoke City for the 2022/23 season
McCarron, 21, signed for Stoke from Leeds United this summer, having made his Premier League debut for the Elland Road side in December of last year.
Hailing from Preston, McCarron is a graduate of Carlisle United’s Academy and made his senior debut for the Cumbrians as a 17-year-old in September 2018.
After making 20 senior appearances for Carlisle, McCarron was signed by the Whites in the summer of 2019 and featured for the club’s Under 21 side before being handed his first team debut as a substitute in a Premier League clash with Arsenal in 2021.
Manager Darrell Clarke said: "Liam is an exciting young player and comes with some healthy experience at both Premier League and Championship clubs.
"I'm really looking forward to working with him this season."
