Welcome To Port Vale - Sam Hornby

We are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Sam Hornby from Burton Albion on a two-year deal.

The 22 year-old joins Vale from the Brewers where he spent last season on loan at Kidderminster Harriers.

Sam had a successful season with Kidderminster, helping to guide them to the National League North Play-Off Semi-Final.

The year before, Sam spent the majority of the 2015/16 season on loan with Brackley Town, who helped survive relegation.

His performances that year were rewarded with the Brackley Player of the Year at the age of 20.

Sam becomes the fifth signing this season, following the arrival of striker Tom Pope, Joe Davis and Rob Lainton.

The ‘keeper will link up with his new team mates at the end of June when they return for pre-season ahead of the Sky Bet League Two campaign.

Stay tuned to the club website and official social media channels to hear more from the goalkeeper over the coming days.
