Forward Louis Dodds described Port Vale as a club very close to his heart after he signed a new contract on Friday morning.
The 28-year-old has penned a new one-year deal, with an option for a further twelve months, and was delighted to have his immediate future sorted.
Dodds has been at Vale Park since 2008 - a seven-year spell in which he has contributed towards a promotion and two seasons in League One.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player, the striker admitted he has developed a connection with the club and the surrounding area.
“I live not too far away from here and everyone is friendly and it’s a great club,” he said. “It’s a club very close to my heart now and I can’t really see myself leaving.”
