Defender To Stay On Loan Until End Of Season
Port Vale defender Nathan Smith’s loan at Stafford Rangers has been extended until the end of the season.
The youngster first joined the non-league side in October on a month-long deal which was then extended until late January.
Having impressed during his time at Marston Road, it has been decided the centre back will continue his development under Neil Kitching for the rest of 2015/16.
He has made over 15 appearances so far for the Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit.
Discussing Smith’s extended deal, Vale boss Rob Page said: “By all accounts Nathan has done very well for Stafford during his time there so far.
“We think the best way to continue his development is to keep him there until the end of the season in order for him to get as much first team experience as possible.”
