Midfielder Speaks To Valiant Player After Win Over Posh
- Valiants beat the Posh 2-1 at Vale Park on Saturday.
- Chris Birchall and Ben Williamson both scored in win.
- O'Connor was involved in build-up to first Vale goal.
Port Vale midfielder Michael O’Connor believes Saturday’s 2-1 win over Peterborough United was thoroughly deserved.
Chris Birchall and Ben Williamson scored either side of half time for the Valiants to cancel out Conor Washington’s opener and seal the three points.
O’Connor was involved in the build up to Vale’s first goal of the afternoon, spotting the run of Adam Yates down the wing before the right back crossed into the box.
Speaking to Valiant Player after the game against the Posh, the 27-year-old said he thought Rob Page’s side were full value for their win.
“I thought it was a good win,” he said. “We started off okay, gave away a goal but I thought overall we were the better team and deserved the win.”
