.draw with Preston North Endexpressed pride for his side’s performance after Friday night’s hard-fought  Rob PagePort Vale manager

The Valiants came from behind twice to earn a point at Vale Park thanks to a double by Michael O’Connor from the penalty spot.

Richard Duffy had been sent off for handling the ball on the line, meaning Vale had to complete their comeback with just ten men.

Speaking to Valiant Player after the clash with Simon Grayson’s automatic promotion chasers, Page was delighted with the result and overall display.

He said: “We wanted the three points but I think, when you look back at it, down to ten men, going a goal down after 11 minutes against a very, very good team in Preston, was pleasing to come away with a point in the end and I’m proud of the performance the boys have put in again.”
