Defender knows how important a positive attitude can be
Defender Chris Robertson has urged fans to be more positive following the team’s recent dip in form and says a win can make all of the difference.
He says Vale’s great start to the season has in many ways backfired on them as expectations rise amongst the supporters, but feels they can start to put things right sooner rather than later.
He said: “All season people have been taking about the play-offs and where they think we should be, but I am sure at the start of the season people were saying we were going to get relegated.
“So for people to be talking about the play-offs just shows how far we have come in our first season in League One.
“Everyone has got to kind of understand where we have been, where we have come from and where we are now.
We are on a bit of a bad run at the moment, but every good team goes through stages like that, if you look at Man United at the moment they are not in the best of form.
“It is all about progressing slowly and taking one step at a time and I am sure we will get back on track.
“If you look at our form, it has not been great of late, but with a couple of wins we are up there and I am sure once we get a win on the board everyone will start to be more positive and that is the type of environment we want to be in, a positive environment.”
