Dicko: I'd Love to be Captain

The departure of captain Doug Loft has left the position open for a player to come in and take on the role. Micky Adams has confirmed he is looking at a number of candidates and tenacious defender Carl Dickinson will be hoping he is one of them.

When asked the question Dicko replied:

“I’d love to be captain, I’d love to lead my team out every week. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and if I get the chance it’ll be a happy day. However, if I’m not I’ll make sure I’m a leader anyway.”

He admitted he is a great believer in everyone being equal on the pitch, to work together for the good of the team.

“There should be eleven leaders on a pitch because you all going out together and you’re all in it as one. So there should be eleven leaders out there fighting for each other.

“At the end of the day it doesn’t bother me who get’s it, I’ll always be the same person in the changing room. I’ll still be shouting at the lads to make sure we’re all fired up and I’ll make sure I’m vocal on the pitch as well.”
