Port Vale striker Dany N’Guessan has revealed the impact manager Rob Page had on his decision to sign a contract extension at the club.

On Tuesday the 27-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal at Vale Park that will run to the end of the current season.

Since initially signing for the Valiants in October, N’Guessan has added a new attacking dimension to the squad, scoring three goals as well as providing numerous assists.

Speaking to the club’s official audioBoom channel, the French forward admitted Vale boss Page played an important role in his choice to extend his stay.

“Rob Page is the one with the club who gave me the chance to play football again, to express myself again and I think he is a very good manager,” he said.

“From my point of view he is going to be a good manager in his career. He knows how to get the best out of players, he knows how to talk to players and I think he had an impact on my decision.”
