With games coming thick and fast Vale manager Micky Adams is prepared to make changes for tonight’s Capital One Cup clash against Championship side, Cardiff City.
After beating Hartlepool United convincingly in Round One, Vale will be looking to cause an upset against a Cardiff City side that were runners-up in this competition during the 2011-12 season.
However, Micky feels that having a small squad with lots of talented players means tonight’s game is the perfect chance to mix it up, especially to give some players game time.
Micky said: “We were always going to make changes against Cardiff, I feel that certain players, because of the reserve fixtures not fitting in with our schedule, haven’t had a game since Southport away. That’s dangerous just in case we need them, so we will be making changes tonight.
“We’ve always said we’ve got a good squad, and every player that goes out tonight will be worthy of a place in the league game on Saturday against Chesterfield.”
Tonight’s game, will kick-off at 7.45pm.
