We take a look at the contrasting fortunes of two of our teams

This week we take a look at two teams with contrasting fortunes last weekend, one scoring exceptionally well and the other . . . . . well, unfortunately not so well.

The two teams in question are at opposite ends of the table, as you may well expect, but as they say, there’s a long way to go before the season reaches its climax.

First of all we will look at the team who didn’t do too well – Pvfcallstars (sic) managed byDavid Wilson, who we suspect hasn’t been checking up on his team on a weekly basis and has possibly lost interest a bit, like so many others once the team isn’t doing as well as expected.

In goal he has Joe Hart (0 points), in front of Hart (or not, as he is currently out of Man City’s team) David has Leighton Baines (0), Kyle Walker (-2), Vincent Kompany (0) and Kolo Touré (0).

With a total of minus two so far, let’s look at his midfield then - Marc Albrighton (0), Gareth Bale (0) (a bit of a give-away there as obviously Bale now plays for Real Madrid), Derek Boateng (0) and saving David’s blushes a little, Ashley Westwood (9). Up front he has Robin van Persie (0) and Demba Ba (1)

So, that’s that one out of the way, who else are we featuring this week? Steve Chadwick’s ‘Chad’s Lads’, that’s who. How could be ignore Steve’s side after they earned themselves a mega-impressive 100 points? That’s right – ONE HUNDRED.

In goal Steve has Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny (8 points) and a back four of John Terry (6), Nathan Baker (1), Per Mertesacker (11) and Patrice Evra (9). In the middle he has Steven Gerrard (5), Eden Hazard (10) and Frank Lampard (16).

That gives Steve an impressive total of 66 points so far and his three strikers added a further 34 points, mainly down to his skipper being awarded 30 points. The front three are Rickie Lambert (2), Sergio Agüero (captain, 30) and Dimitar Berbatov (2)

Steve’s total of 100 points was enough to lift him into third spot in the Port Vale Fantasy Football Challenge – well done Steve!
