Vale's search for their first win of the season continued after the Valiants were defeated 1-0 by Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.The match looked to be petering out into a stalemate as both sides struggled to make the most of their chances.
Striker Gavin Massey scored the winner for the Essex club after 74 minutes despite goalkeeper Chris Neal's best efforts.
Vale keeper' Chris Neal was disappointed with not coming away from the match with at least a point.
