MICKY HOPING TO ADD TO SQUAD

Club waiting for the go ahead from the Football League

Vale will be down to bare bones again on Saturday after being hit by injuries and suspension once again, causing manager Micky Adams a headache in the build-up to the match against Southend on Saturday.

He said: “From the eighteen in the squad the other night, we have lost three of them. We have lost Doug Loft, Darren murphy and Sam Morsy, so we’re down to fifteen.

“Richard Duffy is back on the training ground, but he is still some way off fitness, so it may be a case where we have to take him along with us.

Micky hinted he may be looking to bring somebody in before the trip to Southend and the weekend if the Football League give the club the green light.

He continued: “We are speaking to the Football League and when we have got something to announce, we will announce it.

“The Administrator has been in and he has spoken to the Football League so we will see what we can do. If we can bring another body in before Saturday, then we will try our best to do so.”
