WINGER ISN'T FEELING ANY PRESSURE

Jennison Myrie-Williams hoping to hit goal target by the end of the season

Vale’s home form has been questioned by many this season, especially as our away form has been so impressive, so does that put extra pressure on the players? Not according to Jennison Myrie-Williams.

The Vale winger has been quite happy with his form so far, but says he is falling behind with his goal-target, something he hopes to put right by the end of the season.

He said: “I don’t feel more pressure. In the media apparently there is a bit more pressure on us at home because of our results, and we do so well away, but I don’t feel any pressure.

“I don’t think the boys should feel any pressure, you should go out there feeling a lot better being at home with the home fans.

“I just think it’s a case of, our results away from home are so good that it makes our home form look a bit ‘iffy’ but I think we have done well at home and we will do well on Saturday.

“The manager has brought in some experienced players and they are players that will make our squad better.

“It has helped us not only to win games but it has also helped everyone in the squad to push on, and I believe we are going in the right direction.

“From a personal point of view, this is probably the most consistent I have ever been. Instead of having five good games out of ten, the ratio is a lot higher now.

“I am just enjoying my football and hopefully I will get a good finish to the season and a promotion.

“It is good that the manager has the faith in me to play me in every game and show that love for me. I have been going out on the pitch showing what I have got to do and I am really enjoying it.

”I have got a few goals so far but I am not doing as well as I hoped to do. I set high targets and hopefully by the end of the season I can reach my targets.”
