Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Zak Jules on loan from Sky Bet League One promotion contenders, Shrewsbury Town, until the end of the season.
The 6ft 3in defender goes straight into Neil Aspin's squad for tomorrow's trip to Accrington Stanley and he is eligible to feature in the Sky Bet League Two clash.
Having risen through the youth ranks at Reading, Jules was offered a professional contract by the Royals before enjoying loan spells at Hemel Hempstead Town, Braintree Town and Motherwell.
He then returned to his parent club, and In June of 2017, the 20-year-old made the move to current club Shrewsbury Town, signing a two-year deal at the New Meadow.
Just two months later, the centre-back who is also a Scotland youth international, signed on loan at Chesterfield and he made six appearances for the League Two side before returning to Shrewsbury with an injury.
Now fit and raring to go at Vale Park, Jules will add depth to the Valiants' defensive options for the rest of the 2017/18 campaign and he could make his debut this weekend wearing the number three shirt.
