Ahead of our return to Vale Park tomorrow, we would like to remind supporters of changes to the match day routine in response to the raising of the Covid alert level.
Having received guidance from both Public Health England and the EFL, the club does not believe Covid certification measures will apply to fixtures at Vale Park as attendances fall below 10,000.
Port Vale will monitor this situation on a match-by-match basis. However, as it stands, we do not anticipate our forthcoming Emirates FA Cup tie against Brentford will attract an attendance in excess of 10,000.
However, further to the implementation of additional measures to safeguard supporters, the club would like to encourage everyone over the age of 11 who is attending games or functions at Vale Park to bring a face covering.
Supporters are asked to wear face coverings when moving through any indoor areas of the club (including concourses). By the same token, supporters entering the stadium via the main reception should wear face coverings until they reach their destination – be that the Valiant Suite, CJ Bayley Lounge or hospitality box. Similarly, we would ask supporters to wear face coverings when moving along corridors, ascending or descending stairs, or visiting the toilet.
We also encourage supporters to make frequent use of the hand sanitiser stations located around the stadium.
The main doors to all stands will be kept open during the match to assist with both circulation and ventilation and supporters are encouraged to wear face coverings until they arrive at their seat.
Supporters are reminded that they are allowed to return to their seats in the stands with hot and cold refreshments but NOT alcoholic beverages.
Those planning to visit Vale Park are also reminded that if they are feeling unwell they should not attend and seek an immediate Covid test.

Port Vale would like to thank supporters and all those attending functions at Vale Park for their co-operation as we strive to make the stadium as safe and welcoming as possible during these challenging times.
