Midfielder Returns To Vale Park For Second Loan Spell

Port Vale have re-signed Cardiff City midfielder Tommy O’Sullivan on loan until 14th April, subject to international clearance.

The 20-year-old spent a month with the Valiants earlier this season after putting pen to paper on a month-long deal on January transfer deadline day.

During that time he made his Football League debut in Vale’s away win at Walsall, coming on as a second half substitute.

The youngster trained with Rob Page’s side this morning and should be eligible to play this weekend against Swindon Town.

Speaking of the acquisition of O’Sullivan, Vale boss Page said: “We’re delighted to have secured Tommy’s services, he’s a very gifted young player.

“Everyone was impressed with how he performed in his last spell, both in training and in our win at Walsall as a substitute.

“With Chris Lines having gone out on loan, we felt it was important to get someone in and Tommy ticks all the boxes in terms of the type of player we were after.

“I’d like to thank Cardiff City and Russell Slade for their co-operation in helping us get this deal done as quickly and smoothly as possible.”
