WHERE TO PARK
There is a large car park at the ground, costing £5 for cars.
THE STADIUM
Opened in 1906 the ground had 4 separate stands. The stand which was demolished in 2008 is at last being replaced with a stand having corporate, conference and office facilities as well as a gym. The George Hill main stand is to the right of the away support. This stand houses the dugouts, along with the executive boxes. The seats of the main stand don’t run the full length of the pitch, and foundations of former standing areas can still be seen.
Opposite to the area where the away fans sit is the Verlin Stand - the section with the loudest home fans.
WHERE THE VALIANTS WILL BE SEATED
1.600 fans can now be seated in the Zen Office Stand which is at the opposite end to where we have normally sat. Again fans enter the ground from the back of the stand. This is probably the coldest ground you will visit so wrap up warm!
FOOD
When coming off the A627 heading to the ground, there is a retail park with McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken - so plenty of choice. Alternatively try the stadium food – they have provided chips in the past and recent visitors have rated their cottage, steak and pepper and cheese and potato pies.
DRINK:
By passing behind the away end, turning left into Shepford Road, turning left again into Oldham road the Old Grey Mare can be found; further up the street is the White Hart – giving Vale fans enough choice. There are many pubs around the ground, with the Clayton Arms right next Boundary Park. There is also the Greyhound pub, which is across Broadway down Holden Fold Lane.
