WHERE TO PARK
There is parking at Queens Ground near the Metro Dome for away fans costing £4, at the Metro Dome and some street parking.
THE STADIUM
West Stand opposite which dates from 1904. This was converted to all seating in the 1990s but only the rear seats are covered. The other designated home section is the Pontefract Road End which seats 4,500. There. is a purpose built disabled stand between the East and South Stands. to the and which holds 7,500 fans opened in 1993 and is a stark contrast Various developments have taken place in the 1990s. WHERE THE VALIANTS WILL BE SEATED
The North Stand is the newest and it is where the Vale supporters will be seated. The 6.000 all seater stand is shared between home and away supporters. 2000 seats are usually allocated but can increase if necessary!
FOOD
Modern tea bars provide the usual football food. Vale supporters have reported that food has been available in the Metro Dome Leisure Centre at the top of the car park by the away end and it is worth a visit.
DRINK
The Dove Inn on Doncaster Road, a CAMRA pub in the Good Beer Guide is a few minutes walk away from the ground along Oakwell Lane. Further along the road is Barnsley East Dene Working Men’s Club which is available to away fans. The Metro Dome, much nearer to the ground is also available.
