It is uncanny how a great dressing room spirit can overcome even the most skill-laden teams.

It is no surprise then how the reconstruction of a meeting between Lennox Lewis and Tyson Fury acted out by Robertson and Pope following a corner sprung widespread concern amongst the Vale faithful amassed in the Jess Ennis stand on Saturday.

Like the stand’s namesake, I’m sure our lads would love to pull off sporting miracles of their own, by bringing another promotion to Vale Park and prove their detractors wrong… as would the fans. So come on lads, kiss and make up and let’s make it happen!
