Ricky Miller has claimed the boys needed a reaction from the Lincoln City tie and that they have got it after two impressive performances on the road.
Port Vale made it three clean sheets in a row in all competitions on Tuesday evening having shut out Stevenage to earn themselves a point at The Lamex Stadium.
The Valiants impressive run started in the Checkatrade Trophy against Middlesbrough Under 21s when Aspin's side ran out 2-0 victors at Vale Park - Miller getting himself on the scoresheet that evening.
Heading back into League action, Vale picked up a huge three points at Boundary Park over Oldham Athletic, as a single Tom Pope penalty was enough to secure all three points and record a second clean sheet on the bounce, before Tuesday evening's goalless draw saw Aspin's side maintain that defensive record.
Miller has claimed that this up-turn in form was just what they needed following the loss to Lincoln.
He said: "We needed a reaction after the Lincoln game and we got it. We've got our heads down, worked hard on set-pieces and kept three clean sheets against Middlesbrough, Oldham and now tonight.
"It's a credit to us for getting our heads down and working hard on it."
The forward was sidelined for the opening 45 minutes against Stevenage yesterday evening, though certainly made an impact when he came on for the second-half.
Having been unable for selection last weekend against Oldham after picked up five bookings so far this season, Miller was itching to get back into the Vale side and didn't fail to impress following his arrival into the game.
The former non-league striker was lively from the get-go and proved the Valiants biggest threat on the pitch since his arrival, and he has claimed that he is not worried that the goals aren't quite coming for him at the moment.
He said: "I'm not too worried about it. Obviously I want to score every game but I'm just trying to play my natural game and I must be snatching a little bit.
"Hopefully once one goes in they'll all start going in. I'm definitely not afraid to shoot, just ask Popey! I go in there and I try make things happen.
"I try and create and score goals - we didn't get a goal today but it's a good point on the road."
