The youngster scored twice for the U21s in a 2-1 win over Arsenal last month with Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite and interim manager Rob Page in attendance.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player, Streete admitted that having Smurthwaite and Page at the game was an important factor in his decision to sign for Vale.

“There were a few clubs at that game and a few clubs at the games before,” he said.
