Port Vale boss Rob Page has urged his squad to be professional over Christmas heading into their Boxing Day clash with Coventry City.
The Valiants head to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, kick off 3pm, in Sky Bet League One. Click here for ticket details.
The manager has given his players Christmas Day off to be with their families but expects them to be sensible and prepare properly for a crucial match.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, he said: “You’ve got to be professional, you’ve got to prepare right.
“We did it last year, didn’t have them in on Christmas Day and got a fantastic performance against Sheffield United at home.
“It’s about being professional in your preparation, we can only do so much. We can’t monitor them when they leave the building.
“But they know the importance of it and they’ll get found out. In today’s day and age, the way the game is played, they’ll get found out on Saturday.”
