Blades Defender Joins On Loan
Port Vale have completed the loan signing of Sheffield United centre back Neill Collins until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old, who has previously played for Leeds United, Wolves and Sunderland, will bolster Rob Page’s defensive ranks heading into the final eight games of 2014/15.
A former Scotland U21 international, Collins started his career at Glasgow-based Queens Park before moving to Dumbarton and later Sunderland, where he spent three years.
He has won the Sky Bet Championship twice in his career, once during his time at the Stadium of Light and another with Wolves.
Last season the veteran was an ever-present for the Blades, making a total of 55 appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals.

“He will add leadership and even more of an aerial presence to our defensive unit. I’ve got to give a lot of credit to the chairman as well.
