Neal Delighted With Timmins Reunion

Port Vale goalkeeper Chris Neal is delighted to have been reunited with coach Dave Timmins.

The pair worked together while the 29-year-old shot-stopper was at Preston North End and Shrewsbury Town prior to his move to Vale Park in 2012.

Timmins was appointed as the club’s new goalkeeping coach earlier this week and was at the first day of pre-season training on Wednesday.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player after the session, Neal said he is looking forward to working with his new mentor again this term.

“I worked with Timmo when I was at Preston, I was just coming through the youth team there as an early pro,” he said.

“I worked with him there and then we moved to Shrewsbury as well so we both know each other inside out and it’ll be nice to have some fresh ideas and some new sessions this year.”
