Coach Speaks After League Success
Pro Development Coach Mick Ede is delighted with the reserves after clinching the Final Development Final Third West Division championship, believing it was well deserved.
The Valiants cruised to a 5-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at Vale Park last week to secure the title following a draw with Walsall in their penultimate fixture.
Vale now turn attention to their reserve league cup semi final clash with Wigan Athletic but, speaking to Valiant Player, Ede was happy to reflect on their success in the league first.
“We want to win everything we’re involved in, whether it’s the youth team in their league, the reserves and the First Team.
“We want to win every cup and competition that we go into.
“I think we’ve deserved it over a full season. I think we started off really brightly; a little shaky, squeaky bum time in the last few games but at the end we got back to where we were at the start of the season and we finished it off with a 5-0 win to grab the title and what a way to go and win it.
