Michael Brown has said he is keen to add to Port Vale’s squad before the Summer transfer window’s deadline on Thursday night.
Port Vale have already made several additions to the new squad, but the gaffer would like a couple more before continuing the rest of the season.
With the Valiants picking up a few injuries as of late, new additions is something Brown could be looking at, along with the squad’s budget ahead of Thursday’s busy day.
He said: “We will go with what’s left! I’m not sure where we are with the budget.
“But, I am fully aware that we could hopefully get a bit more help. But, there might be a couple more we can do. “
Vale suffered another injury following the 0-0 draw against Oldham Athletic, as Rekeil Pyke came off injured in the first half with a hamstring issue.
However, the gaffer is keen to see the return of Rob Lainton and Tyrone Barnett who are sure to offer some assistance to Michael Brown’s team.
“We need them back in the squad so it will give us a big boost”, said Brown.
“Rob is obviously closer than Tyrone and we will keep pushing the boys including the lads we’ve just brought in, Worrall etc.
“It will definitely make us stronger.”
