Port Vale defender Ryan McGivern says the support of the fans can be ‘massive’ between now and the end of the season.

The Valiants take on Sky Bet League One leaders Burton Albion at Vale Park on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Speaking ahead of the match, McGivern stressed the important role the supporters can play over the next nine fixtures.

“It can be massive,” he told Valiant PlayerHD. “I think whenever you see the fans come in their numbers and how pleased they are and what it means to them, it’s great to see.

“If we can fill the ground up a bit more between now and the end of the season it’ll give us that push.”
