Micky Adams and his men, will play their final pre-season friendly tonight, and it couldn’t be against better opposition with Premier League side West Bromwich Albion coming to Vale Park.
They will provide a stern test for the Vale squad ahead of their opening game against Walsall on Saturday.
After a loss at the weekend the Valiants will be looking to finish their pre-season on a high, but all involved know that playing opposition with such quality will be good for the squad whatever the result is.
Vale will be at full strength going into the match, and will be hoping the squad get no injuries in the build up to Saturday.

Ex- Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday manager, Alan Irvine, was appointed manager in June after spending several years as academy manager at Everton, and will start his first season in charge at a Premier League club.
Irvine has added to the squad with six new recruits this summer, including Ghanaian striker Brown Ideye and ex- Manchester City and England defender Joleon Lescott, who won two league titles with the Citizens.
He also added 21-year old defender, Andre Wisdom, on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Although he received his work permit yesterday, he will unfortunately not be available for the tonight’s match due to fitness concerns.
