Port Vale will look to build on Saturday’s 3-0 victory at Newcastle Town when they visit Alsager Town this evening.
The match is the first of two games in two days with the Valiants also set to face Kidsgrove Athletic at the Novus Stadium on Wednesday evening. Both games kick-off at 7.30pm.
Manager Rob Page is expected to again give a run-out to all of the members of the first team squad as both games will offer the squad another chance to get valuable match fitness under their belts in preparation for the start of the league season on August 8th.
New signing Uche Ikpeazu could go straight into the squad as he looks to play his first games as a Vale player, whilst Louis Dodds and Remie Streete could also play some part in the fixtures after sitting out Saturday’s trip to the Aspire Stadium.
The club will be hoping for a repeat of last season’s visit to Alsager when the side won 8-0 through goals from Ryan McGivern, Mark Marshall, Chris Lines, Omar Haughton, Ryan Boot, Alex Morris and a brace from Tom Pope.
